The Compliance Officer is responsible for supporting the Head of Compliance SEA in managing compliance activities across Singapore and the wider SEA region. In this role, the officer will assist with regulatory reporting, policy maintenance, compliance monitoring, and research on regulatory developments. The position also supports training initiatives, audits, and regulatory enquiries to ensure SUNRATE’s operations meet applicable standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of Singapore’s regulatory and AML/CFT framework.

What you’ll be spending your time on:

  • Support the Head of Compliance SEA and Senior Compliance Officer in managing and executing compliance activities in Singapore and across the wider SEA region.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and submissions in accordance with relevant local regulatory requirements.
  • ​Conduct research and analysis on regulatory developments, consultation papers, and industry guidance relevant to SUNRATE's operations.
  • Contribute to the drafting, review, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and operational guidelines to ensure alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participate in risk and compliance discussions to support policy development and operational practices.
  • Prepare and maintain compliance-related documentation, reports, and training materials.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of compliance training and awareness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and global compliance colleagues to ensure consistent application of compliance standards and best practices.
  • Support responses to regulatory enquiries, audits, and internal reviews.
  • Assist with compliance monitoring and the timely resolution of findings or follow-up actions.
  • Perform other compliance-related duties as required to support the regional compliance function.

For this role you'll also have:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in compliance, preferably within fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore’s regulatory framework and the broader APAC compliance environment, including AML/CFT requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and concise materials.
  • Eager to learn, proactive, and committed to developing skills within a growing regional compliance team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; high-level proficiency in professional written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in a Southeast Asian language (e.g. Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese) would be advantageous.
