SUNRATE is also the principal member of Mastercard, Visa, and UPI.As a KYC Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding SUNRATE from financial crime risks and ensuring we uphold the highest standards of regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for executing customer due diligence (CDD) across the full client lifecycle — from onboarding to ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews — while working closely with cross‑functional teams to support our global operations.

This is a high‑impact role within a fast‑growing fintech environment, offering exposure to international markets, complex client structures, and evolving regulatory landscapes.

AM Sanctions Shift: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM MYT
PM Sanctions Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Midnight) MYT

What you’ll be spending your time on:

  • Conduct comprehensive KYC checks for new client onboarding, reviewing and validating identification, corporate documents, and ownership structures.
  • Review and process Virtual Account (VA) applications, ensuring documentation meets internal policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform ongoing due diligence (ODD) through periodic reviews, risk assessments, and refresh cycles.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate higher-risk clients, red flags, or suspicious activity to senior compliance stakeholders.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit‑ready KYC files in accordance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Operations, and Compliance to resolve documentation gaps and ensure timely onboarding.
  • Support remediation initiatives, data quality improvements, and risk-based review projects.
  • Contribute to process optimisation, workflow enhancements, and automation initiatives that strengthen compliance outcomes.
  • Stay current with regulatory developments, industry best practices, and internal policy updates.

For this role you'll also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of AML/KYC experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or another regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of CDD, ODD, and risk-based approaches to customer due diligence.
  • Familiarity with corporate structures, beneficial ownership, and AML/CFT regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with fintech, cross-border payments, or high-growth digital financial institutions.
  • Exposure to screening tools, AML systems, or workflow platforms.
  • Ability to interpret complex corporate documents and international business structures.
  • Comfort working with global teams across multiple time zones.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with a commitment to maintaining high compliance standards.
